As the fall semester was quickly approaching, Spiders held a potluck on Friday, August 7 to celebrate the end of another great summer here in Syracuse. With nearly full participation from both the Spiders and OP, there was plenty of food to go around.
Spider Gizem Bayhan ‘16 contributed homemade spinach and mozzarella empanadas, which were the first to be devoured. Other favorites were Hawaiian BBQ pulled chicken, homemade Heath bars, and quinoa salad. Spider Shelby Netschke ‘15 was responsible for organizing this potluck. Looking back on the event, she said, “The biggest flaw of the potluck was that we had so much great food for such a small space. I wish my stomach was bigger so I could have eaten more.”
