On Friday, October 21st, Spiders and Online Platforms took a much-needed break from the heavy rain and midterms with a Halloween-themed potluck and a Skype chat with Spiders alumna Chelsea Lorenz ‘14.
The potluck was nothing short of spook-tacular and featured a great selection of entrées and desserts, including Katie Canete’s dirt and worms (crushed oreos and pudding), Paige Kelly’s jack o’ lantern empanadas, and Kirsty Fraser’s hot dog mummies. On Wednesday, May 4, Spiders and Online Platforms came together to celebrate the end of the school year and the graduating Spiders the best way we know how - with food! On Friday, February 26, Spiders and Online Platforms came together for their first potluck of the spring 2016 semester.
The potluck boasted a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts, including Jeremy Dennen’s blueberry crumb pie, Monica Rexach’s quesitos filled with guava and cream cheese, and Katie Canete’s famous pizza dip.

Spiders and Online Platforms enjoyed their final potluck of the semester on December 11, 2015. The potluck gave everyone a chance to celebrate the upcoming holidays and the end of another productive and fun semester. There was a variety of dishes offered, including blueberry muffins, pizza dip, double chocolate candy cane cookies, chicken cassoulet, raspberry and pretzel jello salad, and pumpkin roll.read more about this event

On Friday, April 17, Spiders celebrated the graduating seniors during a potluck lunch. With plenty of food to choose from, mac'n'cheese by Marcus McLean ’14 and empanadas by Lyndsey Jimenez ’15 took top prizes for favorite dish and best effort, respectively.
Following a lengthy and delicious lunch, the afternoon’s events ended with the presentation of special Spiders diplomas to each departing Spider. As a “thank you,” the soon-to-be graduates presented Jono with an inflatable Minion. Needless to say, the boss loved it!read more about this event
During the fall 2014 semester, a potluck was held for all of Spiders and OP to enjoy. Spider Monika Chojnowska ‘16 was responsible for organizing the potluck and ensuring its success. She encouraged all Spiders to participate and share their favorite dishes with their peers. The potluck turned out to be worthwhile and featured plenty of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Two of the standout dishes were homemade crepes by Chojnowska and tostadas by Lyndsey Jimenez ‘15. The variety of dishes found at the potluck reflected the many cultures and backgrounds within Spiders. Everyone was able to enjoy tastes from around the world. The biggest problem of the day was that Spiders couldn’t fit all the great food on just one plate!read more about this event
