Kirsty is a junior magazine journalism major in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. After spending her childhood moving from country to country–including Great Britain, Albania, Kosovo and Israel–Kirsty decided to venture to Upstate New York to attend Syracuse University, adding yet another country to her growing list. Kirsty’s passion for writing led her to SU, but her hope to inspire change in Israel–and around the world–is what keeps her writing today. Kirsty prefers writing human interest stories because she believes they are more powerful and capable of moving people than a dry editorial piece with statistics and facts. Kirsty’s dream job is to be a novelist, but in the meantime she’s working as a content publisher for Spiders, where she’s able to apply her writing skills and see the impact of her work at the end of the day.
